In the spring of 2006, we decided it was time to look for a bull of our own. We had been using bulls from other farms and not getting exactly the results we wanted. We had just purchased five head of Angus-Limosuin cross cattle and felt the time was right.
After searching the internet and contacting our local County Extension Agent, we located three bulls for sale. All three were located at the University of Tennessee's Plateau Experiment Station in Crossville, TN. After talking with the farm manager at the experiment station, we decided to go out and view the bulls.
After viewing Online and some information about the few calves he had already sired, we decided to take a chance. He hadn't sired many calves so we could not get a good feel for how he would perform. However, after being around him for a short period of time, we felt he had potential. Plus, he was one of the gentlest bulls we had ever seen.
In June of 2006, we brought him home and the rest is history! He has shown the ability to produce low birth weight calves which add pounds to their frame. They muscle well and are very uniform. All in all, he is a great bull and serves the farm well!
